Last week we enjoyed an exciting visit to the Roman Exhibition at Waikato Museum, with our Roman brothers from 10A. I couldn't have been prouder of the way that you all conducted yourselves, quite in keeping with the code of Senātus Populusque Rōmānus - The Senate and People of Rome!

- A key component of the ACE programme is to provide you with opportunities to learn in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
- As part of this aim, 9A and 10A were provided the opportunity to visit the spectacular Roman Machines Exhibition at Waikato Museum
- This exhibition enabled you to travel back in time to relive history and discover the life, the culture, the determination and the engineering genius that carved the great Roman Empire 52 BC - 476 AD
- The trip encompassed -
- A classroom overview, which focused on buildings, roads and aquaducts - 'Rome wasn't built in a day'
- An exhibition tour of 'Rome at War'
- Creative activities which included making 'Roman catapults' and a lecture on Julius Caesar
